Evaluating Materials for ESL Readers

When you are choosing books for your ESL students, it is important to make sure that they are developmentally appropriate. There are four categories that need to be examined when picking out literature: discussion questions, metacognitive activities, vocabulary, and illustrations. These are a few books I evaluated and deemed appropriate to use in an ESL classroom.
